The property of 220 acres, dating back to 1355, has gone through various phases both in the construction by the owner and when purchased in 1988 by the Japanese company OKI, initiating the development of the hotel. It was later sold to the Deutsche Bank in 2004/2005 and was managed by the international hotel company, Ritz-Carlton.
The hotel stands in a classic and elegant building with 113 Deluxe rooms, 37 Club rooms, 27 Premium rooms, 14 Executive suites, two Presidential Suites and one Imperial Suite, all with a balcony or two in the case of the suites.
